Fly-Fishing Instruction
-- otherwise known as
FF 101 -- offered by Reel Angling Adventures is a day-long personal
experience that guarantees no more than two anglers per instructor
guide.
Your day of instruction opens with you meeting your
instructor-guide along the banks of the river- |

way
chosen for the day's activities. Here, you'll receive a full
orientation that helps you understand trout tackle,
fly-fishing gear and accessories, trout feeding habits, the insects
trout feed on and the fly patterns that imitate them. Once your
questions on those topics are answered, you'll complete your morning
session with your casting instruction.
A deli-styled lunch opens your afternoon session at riverside.
Watching the river for signs of rising trout, your instructor shares
fishing stories that illustrate the afternoon session of instruction.
Using the trout environs of the river, you'll then learn more
about casting in real time and get a full indoctrination to where trout
feed, why they feed, what they feed on and how to present the proper fly
-- dries, nymphs and streamers -- at the right time to the right place.
Rainbow
trout dominate the fisheries where your instruction activities take
place, and you'll likely catch a few of these beautiful trout with your
new-found skills with the fly rod! You might also snatch a feisty brown
trout or even a beautiful brookie, depending on the riverway where your
day of fly-fishing takes place. Among our venues are the Hiwassee River
at Hayesville, NC; the Hiwassee River at Reliance, TN; or the Toccoa
River tailwater below Blue Ridge Dam, near Blue Ridge, GA.
